This program is responsible for all children and women activities benefiting from AOET as an organization. The Coordinator of the Child Welfare Department in any given AOET country program heads this department that comprises of Vocational Training Instructors, Teachers, some volunteers and other support staff.

The Program matches vulnerable children with willing sponsors primarily with the target of sending these children to School.

All AOET country programs combined, the organization is taking care of THOUSANDS of Children through both formal and vocational training avenues.

Home visits for assessment and evaluation of living conditions of Children sponsored through AOET.

We take it upon ourselves to monitor the well being and all developments of sponsored children. We seek to assess conditions in which children are positioned. We also have talks with guardians encouraging them in the care for the children.

We also meet and seek to have a close relationship with the children that go through our program. We run two sponsored children’s retreats every year to create room to know these children better and impart skills for balanced and responsible development/growth.

Some of these are:
Negotiation skills,
Conflict resolution,
Critical thinking,
Decision making,

Social and intellectual

These skills are aimed at developing self esteem and positive relationships.

Another opportunity we offer young people during these retreats is HIV/AIDS  Education and Awareness.

We also give Children a chance to campaign against HIV/AIDS.
